Pilatus Signs Deal for New Manufacturing Facility in Sarasota
A Swiss aircraft maker named Pilatus has agreed with Sarasota Bradenton International Airport to build 17 acres on the site's north side. Pilatus, which manufactures the PC-12 single-engine turboprop and PC-24 Super Versatile Jet, will build a factory-owned flagship that's for sales, design, and services at the airport. Florida alone had more than 6,200 Pilatus flight operations in 2022. To oversee aircraft sales, service, design, and delivery of Pilatus aircraft in the southern United States, the new customer center will first staff more than 50 persons. This building will include 17,000 square feet of offices, workshops, and administrative space, as well as 54,000 square feet set aside for maintenance operations, spare parts distribution, and new aircraft delivery.
